About the Yorkshire Terrier
The Yorkshire Terrier is a compact, toy-size terrier of no more than seven pounds whose crowning glory is a floor-length, silky coat of steel blue and a rich golden tan.
Don’t let the Yorkie’s daintiness fool you. Tenacious, feisty, brave, and sometimes bossy, the Yorkie exhibits all the traits of a true terrier. Often named the most popular dog breed in various American cities, Yorkies pack lots of big-town attitude into a small but self-important package. They are favorites of urbanites the world over.
Yorkies are long-lived and low-allergen (the coat is more like human hair than animal fur), and they make fine little watchdogs. This is a true “personality breed,” providing years of laughs, love, and close companionship.
Our lives revolve around grandchildren, church, pets of all kind, gardening, community service and raising champion bloodline yorkshire terriers. We live on a farm that is literally ‘at the end of the road.’Several of our grandchildren live locally and they are here on the farm all the time playing with animals (especially the puppies) and helping around the house. We are so thankful to be a daily part of their lives. Our other grandkids live in Missouri and they have puppies to play with too. We will mention that again down below. We love yorkshire terriers and matching puppies with their forever homes. The world would be a better place if every person in America had a yorkshire in their childhood memories. They are the very best companions for people of all ages.
